Artist's Description

Shot for a French department store campaign while I was living and working in France between 1985 and 1992. This was an unused image since the kind of shots generally required were of the front view of the garment.

In the early 1970s I created a fashion photography studio in New York City. I was shooting for GQ, Harpers Bazaar, Esquire, Town&Country, other magazines, and cosmetic campaigns for Revlon, Chanel, and others. In the 1980s I lived in France and shot for French Vogue and other fashion magazines and advertising accounts. I always approached the work as an art and did my best to make commercial work as artistic as I could make it given the restrictions. Some of my fashion work now has a vintage fashion art appeal. I believe the images I chose transcend their original purpose and are interesting in their color, composition, emotion, and form.
