I love the moment captured with all the classic elements of a summer boardwalk. The Ferris wheel, the kids playing, the guy with the camera on his belly, the family waiting on line, the young couple buying tickets, the flag perfectly waving, the colors so vivid. A moment frozen in time.

About Steve Ladner
In the early 1970s I created a fashion photography studio in New York City. I was shooting for GQ, Harpers Bazaar, Esquire, Town&Country, other magazines, and cosmetic campaigns for Revlon, Chanel, and others. In the 1980s I lived in France and shot for French Vogue and other fashion magazines and advertising accounts. I always approached the work as an art and did my best to make commercial work as artistic as I could make it given the restrictions. Some of my fashion work now has a vintage fashion art appeal. I believe the images I chose transcend their original purpose and are interesting in their color, composition, emotion, and form.
